Welcome to Anker Valley Canoe Club’s web site. Here you can find contact details for the club. We will be developing the site over the coming months, to inform our current and prospective members about activities and paddling opportunities.
Anker Valley Canoe Club was established in 1983 and is a friendly successful club where kayaking/canoeing is safe and fun, we welcome anyone who wants to have a go on the water.
Based on the Coventry Canal at Harsthill between Nuneaton and Atherstone, we run introductory courses run throughout the summer months to introduce new paddlers to our sport, with long term paddling opportunities at the club. These include paddling for exercise and fitness or catching the racing bug, taking part in races regionally, nationally or even internationally.
We have always had an established kayak racing team which competes at National and Regional competitions, with a history of paddlers representing Great Britain in the Olympic Sport of Sprint kayaking.
